Mondays, December 3, 10, 17 & 24 at 8:00 pm
Wednesdays, December 19 & 26 at 8:00 pm - Jollaine in "A
Gotham Girl's Secret Guide to Sex & Politics"
Musical
comedienne Jollaine continues her an extended run at The Music Box
Room.
"To
get the full effect, you need to hear the words sung, with honeyed
harmony and swinging rhythms, to Richard Rodger's music, preferably
by a cherub-faced beauty with Pre-Raphaelite hair." - Ben Brantley,
New York Times
Singing
timeless classics as well as her own lyrics, Jollaine has been receiving
raves across the country that have compared her to the likes of Nina
Simone and Michael Feinstein. Her show, "Searching For love in the
Big Apple," has been compared to "My Big Fat Greek Wedding" and "I
Love You, You're Perfect, Now change." All about finding romance as
a Jewish girl in NYC, it's a roller coaster of hilarious and poignant
ups and downs as Jollaine cajoles, camps and claws her way through
the singles scene with a lot of heart and soul as told through the
main character in this unique book show.
